    Create a free Weft account.

    Weft is free for 50 tasks. Pro from $5/seat/month billed yearly.

    Add Weft in Zed.

    1. 1Open Zed → Assistant Settings → Context Servers.
    2. 2Click "Add Server" and choose a remote HTTP server.
    3. 3Paste the Weft MCP URL below and save.
    4. 4Complete OAuth in the browser window that opens.

    Complete the OAuth popup.

    On first use, Zed opens a browser window so you can authorize with your Weft account. Sign in once — the client remembers you after that.

    Verify it works.

    Open the Assistant panel and ask: "show my Weft board". Zed surfaces the server badge on responses that used Weft.

Zed and MCP: common questions

Does Zed support MCP?

Yes. Zed connects to remote MCP servers, and Weft is one: a single endpoint, https://letsweft.com/api/mcp. You sign in once in the browser; there is no API key to copy.

Where do I add an MCP server in Zed?

In Zed itself, not in a file. Start here: Open Zed → Assistant Settings → Context Servers.

Is Weft free to use with Zed?

Yes, for up to 50 tasks, with no credit card. Pro removes the limit.
