Connect Qoder to your task board

Alibaba's agentic IDE, on your board.

To connect Qoder to a task board, add Weft — a task board with an MCP server — to Qoder and sign in once. It takes about three minutes and is free for 50 tasks. After that, Qoder creates, moves and finishes tasks on your board when you ask.

Weft is the AI task manager for solo founders and small teams.

Alibaba's agentic coding IDE, with a CLI beside it. Weft keeps the plan and the record outside the editor, where you and your other assistants can see them.

Qoder MCP setup

Qoder MCP docs ↗

This client has no OAuth of its own, so it signs in with an access token from Settings → Access tokens — see letsweft.com/docs/access-tokens. Qoder recognises Streamable HTTP from the URL alone — the same entry works in the IDE and in the Qoder CLI.

  1. 01

    Create a free Weft account.

    Weft is free for 50 tasks. Pro from $5/seat/month billed yearly.

  2. 02

    Add Weft to your Qoder config.

    Qoder → MCP → Add → Manual
    {
      "mcpServers": {
        "weft": {
          "type": "http",
          "url": "https://letsweft.com/api/mcp",
          "headers": {
            "Authorization": "Bearer YOUR_TOKEN"
          }
        }
      }
    }

  3. 03

    Complete the OAuth popup.

    On first use, Qoder opens a browser window so you can authorize with your Weft account. Sign in once — the client remembers you after that.

  4. 04

    Verify it works.

    The MCP list shows weft as connected with its tools. Then ask in chat: "what's on my board?".

Try these prompts

Everything below works once you’re connected — Qoder picks the right Weft tool on its own.

  • “What's on my board right now?”
  • “File a task for every TODO you just left in the code.”
  • “Start the top task in Todo and report progress as you go.”
  • “What finished work is waiting for my review?”

Qoder and MCP: common questions

Does Qoder support MCP?

Yes. Qoder connects to remote MCP servers, and Weft is one: a single endpoint, https://letsweft.com/api/mcp. This setup signs in with an access token from Settings → Access tokens instead of a browser window.

Where do I add an MCP server in Qoder?

In Qoder → MCP → Add → Manual. The snippet in step 2 is the whole Weft entry.

Is Weft free to use with Qoder?

Yes, for up to 50 tasks, with no credit card. Pro removes the limit.

What can Qoder do on my Weft board?

Create, update, move and complete tasks, plan and run sprints, sort work into projects and search across all of it: 32 MCP tools in all.
