    Create a free Weft account.

    Weft is free for 50 tasks. Pro from $5/seat/month billed yearly.

    Add Weft in Cline.

    1. 1Open VS Code → Cline panel → MCP Servers.
    2. 2Click "Add Remote Server" (Streamable HTTP).
    3. 3Paste the Weft MCP URL below.
    4. 4Complete OAuth in the browser window that opens.

    Complete the OAuth popup.

    On first use, Cline opens a browser window so you can authorize with your Weft account. Sign in once — the client remembers you after that.

    Verify it works.

    Ask Cline: "what's in my Weft Backlog?" — it should list tasks via the Weft tools.

Cline and MCP: common questions

Does Cline support MCP?

Yes. Cline connects to remote MCP servers, and Weft is one: a single endpoint, https://letsweft.com/api/mcp. You sign in once in the browser; there is no API key to copy.

Where do I add an MCP server in Cline?

In Cline itself, not in a file. Start here: Open VS Code → Cline panel → MCP Servers.

Is Weft free to use with Cline?
