Connect Le Chat to your task board

A European assistant on your board.

To connect Le Chat to a task board, add Weft — a task board with an MCP server — to Le Chat and sign in once. It takes about three minutes and is free for 50 tasks. After that, Le Chat creates, moves and finishes tasks on your board when you ask.

Weft is the AI task manager for solo founders and small teams.

Mistral's assistant connects to any MCP server, not just the ones in its directory. Point it at Weft and your board answers in the same window you draft, plan and think in.

Le Chat MCP setup

Adding connectors is an administrator action; on Free, Pro and Student plans the account owner is the administrator. Le Chat detects Weft’s OAuth 2.1 on its own — no token to paste.

  1. 01

    Create a free Weft account.

Weft is free for 50 tasks. Pro from $5/seat/month billed yearly.

  2. 02

    1. 1Open Le Chat → Connectors and click "+ Add Connector".
    2. 2Switch to the "Custom MCP Connector" tab.

    4. 4Click Connect and finish the consent flow with your Weft account.

  3. 03

    Complete the OAuth popup.

On first use, Le Chat opens a browser window so you can authorize with your Weft account. Sign in once — the client remembers you after that.

  4. 04

    Verify it works.

Ask in any conversation: "what's on my Weft board?" — Le Chat calls the connector and lists your tasks.

Try these prompts

Everything below works once you’re connected — Le Chat picks the right Weft tool on its own.

  • “Create a task: "send the VAT filing to the accountant", due Friday.”
  • “What's in the active sprint?”
  • “Move everything tagged "bug" into the current sprint.”
  • “What is waiting on my review?”

Le Chat and MCP: common questions

Does Le Chat support MCP?

Yes. Le Chat connects to remote MCP servers, and Weft is one: a single endpoint, https://letsweft.com/api/mcp. You sign in once in the browser; there is no API key to copy.

Where do I add an MCP server in Le Chat?

In Le Chat itself, not in a file. Start here: Open Le Chat → Connectors and click "+ Add Connector".

Is Weft free to use with Le Chat?

Yes, for up to 50 tasks, with no credit card. Pro removes the limit.

What can Le Chat do on my Weft board?

Create, update, move and complete tasks, plan and run sprints, sort work into projects and search across all of it: 32 MCP tools in all.
