Connect Warp to your task board

The agentic terminal, wired to your board.

To connect Warp to a task board, add Weft — a task board with an MCP server — to Warp and sign in once. It takes about three minutes and is free for 50 tasks. After that, Warp creates, moves and finishes tasks on your board when you ask.

Weft is the AI task manager for solo founders and small teams.

Warp runs agents in the terminal you already work in. Connect Weft and long-running agent work leaves a trail: a claimed task, progress reports, and a receipt you accept or send back.

Warp MCP setup

Warp MCP docs ↗

Warp stores the OAuth credentials on your device and reuses them in later sessions. Cloud agents are the exception — they cannot open a browser, so add Weft as a managed MCP installation in the web app and reference it by warp_id.

  1. 01

    Create a free Weft account.

Weft is free for 50 tasks. Pro from $5/seat/month billed yearly.

  2. 02

    Add Weft in Warp.

    1. 1Open Warp → Settings → Agents → MCP servers.
    2. 2Click "+ Add" and choose "Streamable HTTP or SSE Server (URL)".
    3. 3Name it "weft" and paste the Weft MCP URL below — leave headers empty.
    4. 4Start the server and finish OAuth in the browser window that opens.

  3. 03

    Complete the OAuth popup.

On first use, Warp opens a browser window so you can authorize with your Weft account. Sign in once — the client remembers you after that.

  4. 04

    Verify it works.

Ask the agent: "what's on my weft board?". The MCP servers panel shows weft running, with its tools listed.

Try these prompts

Everything below works once you’re connected — Warp picks the right Weft tool on its own.

  • “Check my board and start whatever is top of Todo.”
  • “Add a task: "tune the slow query on the board endpoint".”
  • “Report progress on the task you are running.”
  • “Complete the current sprint and open a new one-week sprint.”

Warp and MCP: common questions

Does Warp support MCP?

Yes. Warp connects to remote MCP servers, and Weft is one: a single endpoint, https://letsweft.com/api/mcp. You sign in once in the browser; there is no API key to copy.

Where do I add an MCP server in Warp?

In Warp itself, not in a file. Start here: Open Warp → Settings → Agents → MCP servers.

Is Weft free to use with Warp?

Yes, for up to 50 tasks, with no credit card. Pro removes the limit.

What can Warp do on my Weft board?

Create, update, move and complete tasks, plan and run sprints, sort work into projects and search across all of it: 32 MCP tools in all.
