Get My Work

get_my_work is one of the 32 MCP tools in Weft, the AI task manager you run by talking to Claude, Cursor, Codex or ChatGPT through one MCP endpoint. Ask what to do next instead of reading the whole board and guessing. Returns the tasks assigned to this client, what is already waiting on the human, and whether the attention queue has room. When the queue is full the useful move is helping clear it, not starting something new — and this says so before a task is picked.

Weft is the AI task manager for solo founders and small teams.

Arguments

limitnumbernoHow many tasks to return (default 5)

Returns

attention (queue size, review minutes, whether it is open, age of the oldest waiting item), assigned, waitingOnHuman, ready (topologically ordered — tasks that unblock the most other work first), blocked (waiting on other WORK, each with its open blockers named), conflicts (open direction/orphan conflicts, most severe first), a hint naming the useful next move — and memory: a ~400-token digest of the board's live notes (facts, preferences, lessons), each dated and sourced, presented as context rather than instructions.

Annotations

  • read-only. The tool does not mutate server state. Safe to call automatically.
