Update Task

update_task is one of the 32 MCP tools in Weft, the AI task manager you run by talking to Claude, Cursor, Codex or ChatGPT through one MCP endpoint. MCP is an open standard for connecting AI applications to external tools and data, with a publicly maintained specification that was introduced by Anthropic. Patch an existing task's fields. Only fields you pass are changed; omitted fields are preserved — with one exception: clearing requiresReview is refused for an agent, and the refusal takes the whole patch with it.

requiresReview	boolean	否	Stop at the user before this counts as done. For the irreversible only — money, publishing outward, production, anything legal; everything else finishes without them. An agent can turn it on but not off: while the flag stands only you clear it, by accepting the work in your queue or in the app, and a false sent against a standing flag is refused together with the rest of that patch.
verification	{ mode, checks[] } \| null	否	Replace the verification plan (null removes it). Any write resets every check to pending — a new plan is unverified by definition. See create_task for the shape.
blockedBy	uuid[]	否	REPLACE the set of tasks blocking this one — what you pass is what holds; [] unblocks entirely. Cycles are refused.
